I've always been massively into jazz and I was going through a particularly heavy Duke Ellington binge when writing most of the music on here, and the idea of programme music runs throughout the five songs. The titles give some idea of the feeling behind each song (though there isn't a Tolkien-esque adventure narrative to go with the music un/fortunately), 'Let Me Hear From You', for example, was written for a close friend who had died not long before the band formed (that's him on the back).

The other titles aren't quite as direct as this one, and unfortunately a certain U.S rock got to one of them before I did, but then you can't win 'em all can you? We recorded the tunes quickly and did minimal edits/overdubs which is my preference, hopefully you dig it too.

Big up to Jase Woolley for engineering and mastering these tracks and for Marky Le Frog for doing the artwork. Huge love to the bands we've played with and the peeps we've played to and for.
